"We have been staying at this hotel every summer for over 18 years. The service is excellent, and its location away from Waikiki makes it a very peaceful and relaxing hotel. The management changed from Hilton to Mandarin Oriental about 5 or 6 years ago. Actually, under Hilton management, it was a more islandish casual atmosphere but now the management is striving to make it a more European style elegant, uppity facility, which in some ways is not too comfortable but we stay there anyway because we just love it. The dolphins in the hotel's own lagoon is something else!"
